Over 25 Years of Florida Agency Work

FDEP · USACE · FWC · FEMA · Water Management Districts

Florida coastal, civil, and environmental engineering.

We know the agencies. We move the permits. We keep your build on schedule.

We'll ask about project type, location, timeline, and current permit status.

Services

Three disciplines, one team, one goal.

Design, permitting, and construction administration. From pre-application to closeout.

Coastal

Docks, shoreline stabilization, CCCL permitting, dune restoration, and marina expansion. The technical work that keeps Florida's waterfront moving and its coast standing through the next storm.

Example project:
Shoreline stabilization
Agencies:
Federal, state & local

Civil

Stormwater management and water resource engineering, building department permitting and coordination, and topographic and bathymetric surveying. Engineering that gets the project entitled and through the gate.

Example project:
Site development
Agencies:
Local municipality

Environmental

Environmental site assessments, benthic and submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) surveys, wetland delineation, and wetland mitigation assessments (UMAMs). The field data that backs every permit and design decision.

Example project:
Wetland delineation
Agencies:
State & federal

Capabilities

The full scope, start to finish.

Permitting, environmental surveys, and construction oversight. The detailed work behind every Blue Arc project.

Why Blue Arc

Three things we focus on, every project.

01

We know your agencies.

Our work is built on years of coordination with local, state, and federal reviewing agencies throughout Florida. We understand how to communicate clearly, prepare complete submittals, and keep the review process moving.

02

We move your timeline.

The permit timeline is the build timeline. We treat it that way through early coordination, organized submittals, proactive follow-up, and consistent communication on every active file.

03

We stay in communication.

Responsive communication is part of the work. We provide timely updates, answer questions directly, and stay engaged with clients, contractors, and agencies from start to finish.

The Team

Led by experience. Built for project delivery.

Our leadership stays involved in the work, helping ensure each project is handled with technical care, clear communication, and consistent follow-through.

Featured Project

Permitting seaward of the Coastal Construction Control Line, cleared before the build window closed.

Captiva Island, FL · Single-family residence · CCCL exemption

The challenge

A single-family residence on Captiva needed its septic tank and drainfield placed seaward of the 1991 Coastal Construction Control Line. With an upcoming construction obstacle: marine turtle nesting season runs May 1 through October 31, so a slow determination would have collided with nesting restrictions and stalled the build until the next year.

What Blue Arc did

Evaluated the work against the CCCL exemption criteria and confirmed it qualified as a minor utility installation with no adverse coastal effect. Built the exemption package complete on the first pass and filed it within one week of being brought on, then carried the file through FDEP review with no second round of requests.

The result

FDEP issued the exemption two to four weeks after submittal, inside the pre-nesting window. The contractor mobilized on schedule and the residence finished construction with zero permit-driven interruption. No rejections, no nesting-season obstructions, no construction delays.

Completed dock and boat lift on the waters of Gasparilla Sound, Boca Grande, FL.

Coastal · Benthic Survey

Opening-day benthic survey, no seagrass in the footprint

A Boca Grande dock permit needed an FDEP benthic survey inside a once-a-year window. We were in the water on day one and cleared the footprint.
